The Earth Prize is thrilled to announce the launch of its new Educator Hub, developed in partnership with the Educators Lab. Designed as a one-stop destination for youth-led eco innovation, the Hub brings together practical classroom resources, ready-to-use materials, live programming and student challenges to support youth-led innovation.

By bringing teachers into the collaborative Earth Prize community, the Hub helps them integrate sustainability, creativity and problem-solving into everyday learning while connecting with a network of educators, students and environmental practitioners worldwide.

The launch builds on The Earth Prize’s wider mission to empower young people aged 13–19 to develop solutions to the planet’s most pressing environmental issues. As the world’s largest environmental competition and ideas incubator for young people, The Earth Prize has engaged nearly 15,000 students across over 160 countries since 2021, awarding over $500,000 in funding and mentorship to support real-world projects. The Educators Hub extends this ecosystem by supporting the teachers who help spark and guide early ideas in classrooms.

The Hub includes four core elements aimed at supporting teachers no matter where they are in their sustainability journey:

  • Innovator Spotlight series: A monthly live session featuring inspiring eco professionals and teachers, showcasing their real-world projects and impact. Each session is also recorded, allowing teachers and students to watch later. Every spotlight includes actionable ideas and discussion points that educators can bring directly into their classrooms.
  • Action Academy Classroom Challenges: Semester-based challenges enabling students to explore real-world problems, share ideas and connect with a global community of peers.
  • Green Accelerator for Educators: An initiative supporting teachers with impactful ideas for projects in their schools and local communities, modelling changemaking in action and inspiring students to do the same.
  • Resource Studio: A collection of print-and-play materials and downloadable tools (like case studies) from our team and also partner organisations, designed to make it easy for teachers to bring sustainability and innovation into their classrooms.

The Educators Hub launches at a time when many young people are seeking practical ways to respond to environmental challenges and growing climate anxiety. By focusing on action and problem-solving, the Hub aims to help classrooms move beyond awareness and toward solutions. Teachers and students engaging with the Educators Hub are also encouraged to take their ideas further by applying to The Earth Prize, turning classroom concepts into mentored, real-world projects.

Peter McGarry, Founder of The Earth Prize explained:

Through the new Educators Hub, we aim to equip teachers with the community and the resources to empower the next generation. We are excited to collaborate with both teachers and organisations to inspire future changemakers and make a positive change for our planet.

The Educators Hub is now live, ready to spark creativity, action, and sustainable innovation in classrooms worldwide. Explore the Hub today: www.theearthprize.org/educator-hub
